ALBANY, GA – Funeral services for the late Mr. Mark LaTeef Greene, 44, of Albany, who died, Fri., March 20, 2015 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital will be announced at a later date by Martin Luther King Funeral Directors.

DAWSON, GA – Funeral services for the late Sis. Mary L. Johnson, 82, who died  Fri., March 20, 2015 at Dawson Health and Rehabilitation, Dawson, GA are incomplete, but will be announced by Albritten’s Funeral Service, Dawson, GA.

Janice Russ Clark

ALBANY, GA – Funeral services for the late Mrs. Janice Russ Clark, 55, of Albany, who died Wed., March 11, 2015 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital were held Sat., March 21, 2015 at Union Missionary Baptist Church, 214 East Oglethorpe Blvd. The Rev. J. A. Severson officiated. Burial followed in the Floral Memory Gardens Cemetery, 120 Old Pretoria Road.

Tadarrian McKeber Edwards

ALBANY, GA – Funeral services for the late Mr. Tadarrian McKeber Edwards, 42, of Albany, Georgia, who departed this life Mon., March 16, 2015 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital, Albany, Georgia were held Sat., March 21, 2015 the Second Bethesda Baptist Church, Albany, Georgia. The Rev. Rance Pettibone is the Pastor and Rev. Tepedric Hill provided the Eulogy. Burial followed in the Church cemetery.

Meadows Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Robert F. Gervin, Jr.

ALBANY, GA – Funeral services for the late Mr. Robert F. Gervin, Jr.—retired Albany police Lieutenant— who died suddenly Fri., March 13, 2015 at Phoebe Putney Hospital, were held at Sat., March 21st, at Third Kiokee Missionary Baptist Church, 521 Carver Avenue in Albany.

Mr. Gervin was born in Atlanta, Georgia on June 20, 1948 and was the oldest son of the late Robert F. Gervin, Sr. and Beatrice H. Gervin. Gervin was a member of the Ebenezer Baptist Church in Atlanta where he grew up.

He received his formal education in the public schools of Fulton County, graduating from Henry McNeal Turner High School. Working his way through college and playing in the ASC Marching band, he received a BBA from Albany State College (University) in 1971. He married Mary A. Thomas in 1971, and to this union two children were born.

A dedicated and dependable employee, Brother Gervin endeared himself to his fellow workers as well as his employers. He joined the Albany Police Department in 1971, rising through the ranks to become Lieutenant in the Investigative Detective Division until he retired after over thirty years with the police force. He then secured a position with ACAL Security services for a number of years at the C. B. King Federal Courthouse in downtown Albany.

He was a devoted member of the Eta Omicron Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.

DAWSON, GA –Memorial  services for the late Bro. Leonard ‘Jr.’ King of Dawson, GA., who died Sat., March 14, 2015 at his residence were held Sat., March 21, 2015 at ATOC AME Church, Dawson, GA. with the Rev. Willard O. Weston, Sr.,officiating.

Alma Malone Jenkins-Puryear

ALBANY, GA – Funeral services for the late Mrs. Alma Malone Jenkins-Puryear, 70, of Albany, who died Sat., March 14, 2015 at her residence, were held Sat., March 21, 2015 at Eureka Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Bill Edge, Sr. officiating. Burial followed in the Mount Mary Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Leary.

Ruby Lee Johnson

ALBANY, GA – Funeral services for the late Ms. Ruby Lee Johnson, 85, of Albany, Georgia and formerly of Newton, Georgia, who died Fri., March 13, 2015 at her residence, were held Sat., March 21, 2015 at the Thankful Baptist Church, Highway 91, Baker County, Georgia with the Rev. Ervin Booker delivering the eulogy.  The Rev Dr. Wadis Williams is the Pastor. Burial followed in the Notchaway C.M.E. Church cemetery, Highway 200, Baker County, Georgia. Meadows Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Annie Lee Harris Hall

ALBANY, GA – Funeral services for the late Mrs. Annie Lee Harris Hall, 77, of Albany, who died Sun., March 15, 2015 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital, were held Sat., March 21, 2015 at New Destiny Church, 205 South Magnolia Street where Pastor Bobby Mckinney is pastor. Bishop Willie B. Young officiated. Burial followed in the Union Memorial Cemetery, 1100 South McKinley Street.

Ressie B. Lowe

ALBANY, GA – Funeral services for the late Mrs. Ressie Bell Lowe, 83, of Albany, who died Thurs., March 12, 2015 at Pruitt Health Palmyra Nursing Home, were held Sat., March 21, 2015 at New Macedonia Baptist Church, 620 Zackery Avenue. Pastor Nishikki Green officiated. Burial followed in the Crown Hill Cemetery.

Hooker, affectionately known as “Bennie Mae”, of Arlington, Georgia were held Sat., March 21, 2015 at Mountain Grove Freewill Baptist Church, 1126 Pine Street Edison, Georgia 39846, with the Rev. Kenneth Zachary, Jr., Pastor officiating and the Rev. Quincy Key, Jr., Eulogist. Burial followed in Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery, Arlington, Georgia.

Patricia Ann Richardson

ASHBURN, GA - Funeral services for the late Mrs. Patricia Ann Richardson of Ashburn, Georgia, who died Saturday, Mar. 14, 2015, were held Sat., March 21, 2015, at the Greater St. Luke Baptist Church in Ashburn, Georgia with the Rev. Tommy Washington officiating. Burial followed in the Westview Memorial Cemetery in Ashburn, Georgia.

Mrs. Richardson was born April 24, 1948 in West Palm Beach, Florida and attended school in the Turner County Public School System. She had been a member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Fitzgerald, Georgia before later moving her membership to Bethlehem Baptist Church in Ashburn, Georgia. She was married to the late Mr. Earnest Richardson, Jr.
