Harvey-Jackson Wedding

On Saturday, August 14, 2010, Frederick A. Harvey took Shia’Condra M. Jackson as his bride. The couple was married during a beautiful sunset wedding ceremony at Wynfi eld Plantation in Leary, Georgia.

The bride was escorted down the aisle by her father, Mr. William F. Jackson. The bride’s matrons of honor were Ms. Joanne Parks and Ms. Brandi Jackson. Ms. Karasha Randall, Ms. Brandi Hicks, Ms. Netasha Carter, Ms. Santana Tukes, Ms. Hope Jackson served as bridemaids; Miss Cam’Breana Dye, Miss Cey’Ambria Dye, and Miss Antianna Jackson were junior bridemaids. Little Misses R’Nia Mims and T’Myr Spencer were flower girls.

The groom’s best man was Mr. Greg Green. The groomsmen were William Jackson, Montrallis Jackson, Cortez Jackson, Kevin Washington, Xavier Billingsley, Kovaski Chambers and Ranzik Hines. Trayonte Jackson, Dev’n Randall, and Trentavious Jackson served as junior groomsmen. Kemerian West was the ring bearer and the bell ringer was Jordan Ochoa.

During the ceremony, Mr. Willie Cannon sang a soulful tribute to the bride, “The Day I Married My Angel,” and Ms. Ramona Nealy performed a solo rendition of “The Lord’s Prayer.”

Rev. Eric Etheridge, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, officiated.

The mother of the bride, Ms. Rowenna Jackson, catered refreshments for the cocktail hour and a delicious meal for the guests during the reception.

The wedding coordinator was Ms. Cagina R. Spencer, of Albany, who is a cousin of the bride. The bride’s aunt, Mrs. Kathy O’Neal of Albany, was the wedding directress.

The original wedding bouquets, corsages and boutonnieres were created by Ms. Alice Robinson, of Albany.

The bride is the daughter of Ms. Rowenna Jackson, and Mr. and Mrs. William F. Jackson. She is the granddaughter of Ms. Laura B. Mims.

The groom is the son of Ms. Pearlie M. Jenkins and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Harvey, Sr. He is the grandson of Ms. Catherine Hicks and Ms. Annie B. Jenkins.

The couple was married on the bride’s birthday, which was another reason to celebrate. Immediately after the wedding reception, a birthday celebration was held for the bride and others that were born in the month of August. The newly weds and guests danced the night away on a custom made monogrammed dance fl oor. There were over 200 guests in attendance to enjoy the occasion.

The couple will reside in Albany. They plan to take a Florida honeymoon in September.

Latoya Felton of Edison, Georgia, is proud to announce the birth of a baby girl, Za’Riyah Antionette Felton. Za’Riyah was born August 14, 2010.

Carter and Latrisa Christian of Albany, Georgia, are proud to announce the birth of a baby girl, Catrissa Slerri Christian. Catrissa was born August 14, 2010.
