Oakie Hill Missionary Baptist Church is inviting all to come share in a glorious occasion of its Pastor's (Rev. Willie G. King) 1st Anniversary Celebration on Sun., Aug. 12, 2012.  Service will start at 11 a.m. with Guest Speaker, the Rev. Rod Baptiste from Columbus, Georgia.

Continuing in the celebration at 3 p.m., the Rev. H.C. Boyd of Shiloh Baptist Church will be in charge of services.

The Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church on Eight Mile Rd. will hold its annual Revival, July 30-Aug. 3, 2012.  The Evangelist for the week is the Rev. Marvin Griffin of Ebenezer Christian Center.  Prayer meeting will be held on Monday and Tuesday and preaching will be held Wednesday through Friday.  All services will begin at 7:00 p.m. nightly.  Gregory Moye, Sr. is the Pastor of Oak Grove and Dea. Gary Ball, Sr. is the chairman of the Deacons Ministry. All family and friend of Oak Grove are invited to attend these services.

Augusta, GA – Since Tuesday through today, July 24-27, the Sixth Episcopal District of the African Methodist Episcopal Church, which is the state of Georgia, has been in Augusta for its first statewide meeting of the new 2012-2016 quadrennial season. This annual event entitled the Leadership and Ministry Congress is being held at the Augusta Marriott Hotel at the Convention Center located at Two Tenth Street, Augusta, GA 30901.
